I definitely know what you mean about the Booker long list though, often I haven't read any of them either. I also don't want my choice in books to be swayed by a prize, so often it can put me off reading a book because of the hype.

Someone in the bookish world I trust in terms of reviews is Jen Campbell (author of Weird Things Customers say in Bookshops etc.) She's one of the Man Booker Vloggers and has been talking about the books longlisted on YouTube, which is interesting to watch even if you don't read any. She also loved The Fishermen.

Let me know what you think when you get to it Debbie, hopefully I won't lose your trust :-)Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13886600605642919955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14047714.post-85638815208232276712015-09-10T01:23:52.599+10:002015-09-10T01:23:52.599+10:00For the first time that I can remember, I had read...For the first time that I can remember, I had read NONE of the Booker long-listed books when they were announced. Thanks so much!Debbie Rodgershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15630059470408161434noreply@blogger.com
